Introducing Bitwise IP

I'm delighted to formally introduce Bitwise IP, my specialist patent practice through which I provide strategic patent counsel to digital innovators.

I am a Chartered UK & European Patent Attorney with over 15 years of experience in the patent profession, honing my skills across both top-tier private practice and in-house roles.

I launched the firm to provide UK-based founders and growing businesses in the digital technology sector with access to the kind of proactive strategic patent counsel that has historically been the reserve of large corporations with in-house IP teams and those with deep pockets. I want to be your outsourced in-house patent attorney - helping you use patents strategically in the right way from the outset to grow your business.

The firm's name, Bitwise IP, reflects my deep interest and specialisation in digital technologies, which has been a lifelong interest of mine. This interest has been a driving force throughout my career, influencing my choice of degree, Electronic Engineering with Computer Systems, my early technical jobs as well as the patent portfolios I have handled as a patent attorney - most recently as an in-house patent attorney at BT. Accordingly, I am familiar with a wide range of digital technologies, including computer hardware, software, artificial intelligence & machine learning (AI/ML), cybersecurity, networking, autonomous systems, such as robotics & drones, the Internet of Things (IoT) and smart devices.

I am based in the Cotswolds and am available to work with clients across the UK. For those in the nearby technology hubs of Cheltenham, Oxford and Swindon I am well-placed to meet in-person, but I am equally comfortable working remotely with clients wherever they are based.
